To do this they are equipped with a device known as the Notalium Tuner, a device made by Fisica capable of turning disordered Notalium back to its ordered state through a process known as " tuning" or " purifying ". Our two protagonists, Fisica and Ritmo, are tasked by the Notalium Administration to travel the world and purify the world from Al Niente artificially. Two and a half centuries have passed, with only what is implied to be a small area in which our heroes reside. The world has been afflicted with a unknown force known as " Al Niente", a weathering force that stops all sound and creation, eventually plunging the world into desolation.

Lanota is free to download for Google Play, though players must pay for the full version. These include Dance With Thanatos, Machinery Land, Sunday Afternoon Tea and Prayers of Valkyrie. Select songs from the subscription are available as a separate chapter.
This chapter releases a new song every week. Players are able to subscribe to a plan, where they are able to download and play premium tracks. Lanota also has a Subscription Chapter, introduced in version 2.0.
